
Chécy, between the Loire and the canal Chécy is a small cusy town at the East of Orleans between the Loire and the Canal d'Orleans.
The downtown was built during the moyen age. Jeanne d'Arc sailed accross the Loire river at Checy to save Orleans attacked by the english army in April 1429.
If you come during the last weekend from April, you will be able to then take part in the Jeanne d'Arc's festivals of Chécy, during which the city lives at the time of the 100 years' wars.
In bottom of the village Orleans' canal runs, canal on which the food products circulated coming from Nantes to go to Paris.
Today on the canal, the barges do not pass any more, but sometimes there is water tournaments.
